66ers Select Chris Richard With First Pick in D-League Draft

The Tulsa 66ers select Chris Richard with the first pick overall in the 2008 NBA Development League Draft. The 6-foot-9, 255-pound forward from the University of Florida won two NCAA championships.
During the 2007-08 season, Richard, selected 41st overall in the 2007 NBA Draft, appeared in 52 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves. While on assignment with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League, Richard averaged a double-double of 10.2 points and 11.5 rebounds.
During the next three rounds, the 66ers selected local talent in former Oral Roberts University players guard Moses Ehambe, forward Yemi Ogunoye and guard Adam Liberty.
“All of the players that we are bringing in to training camp are talented players,” 66ers Manager of Minor League Operations Brandon Barnett said. “We are excited to bring them to Tulsa and start camp.”
