$8.9 Million Martin Regional Library Expansion Pitched

Mayor Kathy Taylor includes an $8.9 million expansion of the Martin Regional Library at 26th and Garnett in Tulsa’s proposal for submission as part of the $1 trillion stimulus package.
The project met several criteria — it will be shovel-ready to start within 120 days of funding approval and create jobs.
It is estimated the projet would create 150 construction jobs and 17 new ongoing library jobs.
The project would enable the Martin Regional Library to focus on helping people retool their skills, find jobs, start and run small businesses, and gain literacy. Plus, it would serve a vulnerable population, the Tulsa City-County Library said in a release.
