Omni Air Transport and AeroCare Medical Transport form dedicated air ambulance program.
The Tulsa-based companies to provide air ambulance service across the country and the rest of the Western Hemisphere, using a medically configured Learjet 35A aircraft.
AeroCare MT has provided air ambulance and transplant services in partnership with Omni for more than 20 years.
AeroCare MT employs the required medical staff including two Board-Certified Emergency Medical Physicians as Medical Directors, eight Registered Nurses, and fifteen Flight Paramedics. Their mission is to provide quality medical transport with the highest level of safety, professionalism and respect.
Omni was founded in Tulsa in 1983, operating a single Learjet aircraft for charter and air ambulance.
In 2004, Omni completed its first Aviation Research Group audit, making the company one of very few ARG/US Platinum charter operators in the U.S. Today, the number of Platinum operators is less than 6 percent.
The ARG/US audit is an on-site, voluntary audit performed every two years focusing on all areas of the organization, from maintenance to flight operations. The highest possible rating that an operator is eligible to earn is the Platinum rating, which is awarded to “an operator who has demonstrated the implementation of industry best practices including a Safety Management System, a workable Emergency Response Plan, and appropriate written standards, training, and adequate historical records for all major aspects of Operations and Maintenance within the company.
