Air Power Systems Company turns toward progression with the announcement of their new name: APSCO, Inc.
“I’m excited about the direction APSCO is moving toward,” said Larry Mocha, APSCO, Inc. president. “Because of our reputation for excellent products and our ability to revolutionize ourselves with the changing times, we’ve experienced tremendous growth over the last several years. This latest change is just another step in the evolution of our company.”
All correspondence and collateral will contain the new contemporary APSCO logo and name. In addition, the company is in the process of revamping their Web site to reflect the changes and to create a more user-friendly site.
APSCO, Inc. was created in 1964 in the garage of Mocha’s father. Mocha was the first employee to be hired by the company. Six months later, he was also the first to be laid off. In 1972, he was rehired as general manager. That began an era when the primary market was the truck equipment industry, manufacturing products for oil field trucks and winch trucks.
After his father’s death in 1984, Mocha took control of the company and began re-defining its markets. Through careful consideration and positioning, air controls for hydraulics on dump trucks became the primary direction and remains so today.
