Ardent Health Services-Oklahoma Physician Group Names New CEO

James E. Kaltenbacher has been named Chief Executive Officer of Ardent Health Services – Oklahoma Physician Group. Kaltenbacher formerly served as OPG’s Chief Operating Officer since joining in 2004. OPG, a service of Hillcrest Healthcare System, is the largest Primary Care Group in Northeastern Oklahoma with annual net revenues of $42 million and 345,000 annual clinic outpatient visits. OPG, which includes the Utica Park Clinics as well as Hillcrest Medical Group, employs 130 physicians and 420 support personnel.
Kaltenbacher has served as lead coordinator in the construction of numerous medical clinics across Northeast Oklahoma. Most recently, medical facilities in Owasso, Broken Arrow and South Tulsa were opened in 2006. The clinics range in size from 9,000 – 16,000 SF.
Before joining OPG, Kaltenbacher served as Vice President of Operations for Hillcrest Medical Group as well as Administrative Director of Regional Practices. Kaltenbacher worked for Hillcrest Medical Group for 11 years before moving to OPG in 2004.
Prior to joining Hillcrest Medical Group, Kaltenbacher served as Administrator for Rebound Oklahoma and Oklahoma Physical Therapy, as well as Program Director at the Texas Institute of Sports Medicine.
In addition to his other work, Kaltenbacher currently serves on numerous medical and community committees and boards. His involvement includes: Hillcrest Service Excellence Committee; Hillcrest Quality Assurance Team; American College of Medical Practices Executives; MGMA MSO/Executive Assembly; Facilities Committee at the Church of St. Mary; and is a NYSCA Certified youth football and baseball coach.
