Ardent Names Oklahoma Division President

Ardent Health Services has appointed Earl H. Denning as president of its Oklahoma Division and Hillcrest HealthCare System. Denning, with more than 30 years of health care experience in senior leadership positions, was previously CEO of Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Fla.
In this position, Denning returns to a familiar part of the country. He has either led or been a part of the senior management team of 10 hospitals or health systems from California to Florida, with much of that experience occurring in Texas and Central Louisiana. Denning said, “I look forward to being a part of the Tulsa community and using my experiences and the expertise of Hillcrest physicians, nurses and staff to improve health care for the residents of northeast Oklahoma.”
Denning will begin his new role on January 1, 2007.
The Hillcrest System is comprised of five acute care hospitals, two physician groups and a specialty hospital. The System is home to more than 4,000 employees and is anchored by Hillcrest Medical Center; Oklahoma State University Medical Center; and the Helmerich Women’s Center.
Based in Nashville, Tenn., Ardent owns or operates 12 hospitals in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana. Through its 9,000 employees, Ardent carries out its mission of health care delivery with compassion, respect, accountability and responsibility.
