Arvest Bank Agrees to Purchase Three M&I Branches in Tulsa

Arvest Bank has entered into an agreement with Marshall & Ilsley Corp., a financial services corporation based in Milwaukee, Wis., to purchase its three Tulsa area branch locations and certain deposit, loan and associated contracts, Don Walker, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in Tulsa, announced.
The branch purchase is subject to receiving regulatory approvals, which are expected within 60 days. Acquisitions include M&I locations at 2500 W. Edison St., 11032 S. Memorial Drive and 5120 S. Garnett Road in Tulsa.
“We’re excited about this expansion because it clearly shows our bank’s commitment to this region and allows us to provide an even higher level of service and convenience for our Tulsa customers,” Walker said. “These locations will add to the momentum we have in Tulsa and throughout the state. We’re also excited to welcome Kurt Kazmierski, M&I Bank’s Community Bank president, and his team to the Arvest family.”
“Over the next 90 days we will be working with M&I’s Tulsa customers to provide a seamless transition,” Walker said. “Customers do not need to do anything to affect the change. They should continue to use their checks, debit cards and other products just as before.”
“We think the acquisition will be great for the customers because they will now be part of a banking family with the most locations and the longest hours of any bank in the state,” Walker said.
Arvest currently has 25 locations in the Tulsa metro area (a new branch in Jenks is scheduled to open in October).
Arvest, with total assets of about $9.5 billion, operates more than 210 branches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas through a network of 16 locally managed community banks. ?
