BA Ranked Among Best Places to Retire

A national magazine names Broken Arrow one of the top places to retire. Money Magazine ranked Broken Arrow No. 25 in its “25 Best Places to Retire.” Bella Vista, Ark., ranked 12th, was another city from across the nation profiled.
Rankings were based on cost of living, recreational activities and quality of healthcare, a release said.
Broken Arrow made the list for offering the “ease of suburban living with close proximity to metropolitan offerings like museums, shopping and dining … and home prices that start in the low $100,000s.”
Money Magazine said the community provides “ease of suburban living with close proximity to metropolitan offerings like museums, shopping and dining.” Monday said golfing is a chief pastime, with seven courses in town.
The magazine also pointed out the “spanking new performing arts center,” which will hold its inaugural concert Sept. 29.
The magazine said a typical three-bedroom home was $140,000.
Other cities making the Money list include Palm Springs, Calif.; Savannah, Ga.; and Chattanooga, Tenn.
