BBI Sells First FreshBerry Franchises

FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Café, a Tulsa-based frozen yogurt franchise brand, has recently signed its first two franchise agreements with immediate expansion plans into Arizona, California and Nevada.

FreshBerry is the brain-child of David Rutkauskas, Founder, President and CEO of parent company, Beautiful Brands International. The first FreshBerry opened in February in Tulsa with crowds and long lines of frozen yogurt-cravers. Winter sales have far exceeded projections.

“When the economic model includes low costs, small footprint, minimal equipment and low labor requirements…the formula for success is unparalleled,” said Rutkauskas. “Expect to see hundreds of new store openings in the very near future.”

New FreshBerry franchisee, Max Hamilton, has lived in Scottsdale for eight years and claims there’s nothing like it in the region. “I was hooked the first time I saw the product and when I tasted it, that sealed it for me,” stated Hamilton. The software engineer and now franchise owner, plans on opening his first FreshBerry this year in north Scottsdale.

FreshBerry’s frozen yogurt is low fat, low calorie, high in protein and calcium. BBI, FreshBerry’s parent company, is currently marketing the frozen yogurt cafe in multiple day parts because of the wide acceptance of yogurt as a healthy meal alternative and anytime snack.
