BSW Announces Promotions and Local Staff Additions

BSW International has announced several promotions and staff additions at the firm’s corporate office in Tulsa.
Ted A. Reeds II has been named Manager of Design for lodging programs and projects. Reeds joined the firm in 1997 and most recently held the positions of Senior Architect and Professional of Record for Architecture.
A licensed architect, Reeds is a member, past board member and former president of the American Institute of Architects’ Eastern Oklahoma Chapter, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration. He is a founding member and past advisory board member of the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture. His design for New York’s Metropolitan Life Tower was featured in Interiors magazine in 1986 and his work on Tulsa’s Atlas Life Building netted a 1992 AIA Designer’s Choice award as well as a Juror’s Choice award.
Reeds holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Arts in French and European History from Washington & Lee University.
William D. Howell has joined the firm of BSW International as Director of Design with 25 years of architectural design experience. Previously, he led the design efforts of the architectural firm, REES, as vice president and Director of Design.
One of his most recently completed projects, The Anadolu Medical Center in Gebze, Turkey, gained recognition by the Urban Land Institute of Europe. The project also graced the October pages of Architectural Record and the September pages of Healthcare Design Magazine. Howell is a licensed architect and landscape architect as well a current member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds both of his degrees, Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design, from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
David Buxton has been promoted to a new role as companywide Mechanical Discipline Manager.
He previously held the same title but exclusively served the Tulsa office. Buxton has been with BSW since last February. He comes to BSW from Phillips and Bacon, an engineering consulting firm in Tulsa. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural studies from Oklahoma State University.
Max Wells has also been promoted to a companywide role as an Architectural Discipline Manager. He previously held the same title but exclusively served the Tulsa office. Wells has been with BSW for a total of 14 years. In his previous employment, Wells held a senior architect position with Tulsa-based firm, Thalden-Boyd Architects.
Wells is a member of the National CAD Standard Review and past member and Vice President of the American Institute of Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University.
