Beeler Joins Staff of JA Worldwide

Shannan Beeler, president of Junior Achievement of Eastern Oklahoma since 1997, has been named Regional Vice President – Western U.S. Region of JA Worldwide (Junior Achievement), and has joined the organization’s global headquarters staff.
Beeler began her career with Junior Achievement nine years ago when she was hired as President of Junior Achievement of Eastern Oklahoma. Under her leadership, the Tulsa operation has expanded into 37 additional counties, and experienced growth in student participation from 9,400 to 31,000. During her tenure as president, the organization saw its operating budget grow from $363,500 to over $1 million, and grew its net assets from $751,000 to nearly $4 million dollars. After implementing a capital campaign, Tulsa built a new facility in 2001.
Beeler will report to Howard Bartner, Senior Vice President – Western U.S. Region. She assumes her new role effective January 2, 2007.
Beeler holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University and a masters degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma. In 2000, she received the prestigious Karl Flemke Pioneer Achievement Award, presented to first-time Junior Achievement presidents who have demonstrated outstanding contributions and achievements to the organization. Prior to joining Junior Achievement, Beeler was the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Stillwater.
Beeler is married and has six-year-old twin boys. She will remain based in the Tulsa area.
