Broken Arrow PAC Sees Completion

Construction crews are putting on the final touches, and faculty and students will begin moving in during the comings weeks at the newly completed Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center, located along Main Street in Broken Arrow.
Construction on center, performed by Flintco, began in December 2006.
The $24 million project was financed by 2004 and 2006 Broken Arrow Schools bond elections.
Designed by Tulsa-based Beck Design Group, center will house Broken Arrow’s fine arts programs, as well as the school’s administrative offices, including the superintendant.
The auditorium itself seats 1,500 and features state-of-the-art computer-generated sound attenuation panelling, special over-sized air-ducts to eliminate noise from HVAC units, and three-layer walls and ceilings to dampen noise.
The exterior reflects the grandeur of the interior, its walkways and courtyards paved in marble, and is heavily landscaped by design firm AAA Landscape of Tulsa Inc.
“We are pleased our community supported the school district to build this project and are eager to open the doors for everyone to enjoy,” said Dr. Gary Gerber, Superintendent of Broken Arrow Public Schools.
