CMN Breaks Ground on New Campus

Officials will break ground Nov. 10 at the College of Muscogee Nation’s new 15-acre campus, adjacent to Oklahoma Loop 56 in Okmulgee, southeast of the tribal complex.
Gaming revenue and a HUD grant will fund the first building on the complex, a $5.5 million, 22,000-SF building that will house a learning center, student center, classrooms and faculty offices. School officials forcast enrollment demands that will see the building at full capacity by opening in spring 2010.
Three additional buildings, arranged in a circle with the first, are planned for the future.
Tulsa firm Beck Design is the architect on the project, and Nabholz Construction, working with the Muscogee Nation Construction Management Department, will oversee construction.
