Casino Breaks Ground on $55 Million Expansion

Cherokee Nation Enterprises will break ground today on a $55 million expansion of Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs.
The expansion will increase the amount of gaming space in the casino from 50,000 SF to nearly 200,000 SF and will increase the number of employees at the facility to 1,000.
The project is expected to be complete in fall 2008 and is being designed by Architect Charles Chief Boyd of Thalden-Boyd Architects. Flintco Inc. of Tulsa will serve as the project contractor.
The Cherokee Nation operates casinos in Tulsa, Roland, Tahlequah, Fort Gibson and Salisaw, as well as Will Rogers Downs in Claremore. The Nation’s gaming operation employs an estimated 2,700.
