Census Bureau Opens Tulsa Office

The U.S. Census Bureau plays host to an open house Monday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Dream Center, 200 W. 46th St. North, to commemorate the opening of its new Tulsa office.
Those present will include U.S. Congressman John Sullivan and Mayor Kathy Taylor, among others.
The Tulsa Census office will have an administrative staff of about 50 people and will employ about 1,000 people to conduct census field operations at peak operational times.
The Census is the largest, non-military mobilization of a workforce by the federal government in the history of the United States, said Sydnee Chattin-Reynolds, deputy regional director.
“We’re encouraging those interested in applying for jobs to call the Recruiting Office telephone number at 1-866-861-2010, or visit www.2010censusjobs.gov,” said Chattin-Reynolds.
