Cherokee Hills Golf Club Ranked Among Best

Cherokee Hills Golf Club is recognized as one of the top five “Best Courses You Can Play” by Golfweek magazine.
This is the second year in a row Cherokee Hills has been named to the list and it is the only public golf course in Tulsa to be recognized.
A panel of 400 Golfweek associates rate courses from all 50 states for the annual poll.
“Being recognized by Golfweek is such an honor, and moving up a rank from last year only proves that we are continually making improvements to ensure our guests the best play,” said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Enterprises, which operates Cherokee Casinos.
The top five “Best Courses You Can Play” in Oklahoma are Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Chickasaw Pointe in Kingston, Jimmie Austin Golf Club at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Cherokee Hills Golf Club and Forest Ridge Golf Club in Broken Arrow.
“Our golf staff is really excited to receive this recognition from the industry’s most-read golf publication. The top five ranking will only expose our golf course even more and create a bigger regional draw,” said Jeff Jarrett, general manager of Cherokee Hills Golf Club.
For the Best Courses list, the raters score courses based upon a 10-point guideline developed by Golfweek. The guidelines include the integrity of the original design, the natural setting, variety, memorability and the basic quality of conditioning.
