City of Bixby Unveils New Website

City officials today announced the launch of, a website devoted to promoting Bixby as the natural choice for business. Recent retail attraction studies discovered a $1.27 billion opportunity gap in Bixby’s trade area and city officials moved quickly to begin filling the deficit.
“This web site is designed to put critical information about Bixby and also Oklahoma into the hands of site selectors and other decision-makers for business locations,” said Trish Richey, Economic Development Director for Bixby. “Best practices in economic development indicate that a professional and detailed web site is a critical first step to attracting new business.”
The web site covers demographic data, including population growth, educational attainment levels, income levels, and age breakdowns. Detailed incentive, logistics and development information is available on the site as well as consumer spending habits, sales tax trends, and residential or commercial building permit trends.
“We expect to see continued interest in Bixby as a business location and the new site will be a tool for us to get information to those who need it quickly and conveniently,” Micky Webb, City Manager of Bixby, said. “The site allows visitors to e-mail the information to others, to download brochures or to request more specialized information for a specific project.“
The retail opportunity study and web site development were completed by Crossroads Communications, LLC, a Tulsa economic development marketing firm.
The city recently launched a new version of the main city site,, in a related effort to update the city’s online image and to give residents a new, more efficient portal to access information about the city.
