Clancy Officially Named President of OU-Tulsa

Dr. Gerry Clancy’s status as president of University of Oklahoma-Tulsa has been approved by the OU board or regents.
Clancy succeeds Ken Levit, who resigned to become the head of the George Kaiser Family Foundation. Clancy also serves as dean of the OU-Tulsa College of Medicine and was co-chair of last year’s strategic planning committee.
Born and raised in Iowa, Clancy followed his father’s footsteps into medicine. He completed his medical education and specialty training at the University of Iowa, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he was as an officer, administrator and flight surgeon.
Clancy has served as dean of the school since 2001.
