Clemens Picked to Head Oregon Business Association

Associated Oregon Industries, a powerful lobby representing 20,000 Northwestern United States businesses, has picked the former head of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce to be its new chief executive.

Clemens will succeed Richard Butrick, who headed the organization for over 20 years.

Jay Clemens, 59, came to the Tulsa Chamber in 1998, after 13 years as head of the Boise, Id. Area Chamber of Commerce. During his Tulsa tunure the organization was named Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Clemens begins work at his new job on Sept. 18.
