Cobb to Build New Tulsa Facility

Oklahoma City-based Cobb Engineering Co. plans to break ground on a new Tulsa facility this summer, and plans to occupy the building by the first quarter of 2010.
“Cobb has had a presence in the Tulsa market for sometime (the company’s current offices are at 4530 S. Sheridan Road, Ste. 206) and has expanded at such a pace that they have outgrown their current facility,” said Jeb Reid, owner of Oklahoma City firm Rocket Advertizing and Marketing, which consults for Cobb.
The new offices will be constructed at 91st Street and Yale Avenue on the last undeveloped plot in Southern Woods Park III.
GH2 Architects designed the building, and Cobb will self-perform construction management duties.
The new facility will be 4,000 SF, which Reid said will allow the company room to expand its surveying and construction management divisions in the Tulsa market.
“Cobb employs about 12 people in Tulsa now, and is projected to grow to a 20 or 25-person staff by the time the new facility opens its doors,” he said.
The company’s Tulsa division isn’t the only one currently expanding. From 2000 to 2009, the company expanded from 35 to roughly 95 employees, and recently opened a new 5,000-SF addition to its OKC offices, 4516 NW 36th St. In the last few years, Cobb also offices in Ada and Duncan.
Cost of the project has not yet been estimated.
Founded in 1921, Cobb Engineering also has offices in Duncan and Ada.
