Cold Case Investigators Meet at OSU-Tulsa

Criminal detectives and forensic investigators are at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa for an inaugural conference of the Tulsa-based International Association of Cold Case Investigators.
The conference, titled “Medico-Legal Considerations in Investigations,” runs today through Friday in the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium.
Participants will share new methodologies, technologies and training associated with cold case investigations. Presenters include Kathy Bell, a forensic/sexual assault nurse examiner with the Tulsa Police Department; Dr. Joshua Lanter and Dr. Andrew Sibley, forensic pathologists from the Office of the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner; Dr. Bryan Chrz, a forensic odontologist; and Dr. Clyde Snow, a forensic anthropologist.
Founded in 2006, the IACCI is a non-profit organization designed to facilitate networking, education, training, communication and information sharing among law enforcement, medical, forensic sciences, legal, survivor and educational entities involved in cold case investigations.
The organization’s founders include current and retired investigators from the Tulsa Police Department.
