Coury Opens Hotel in OKC

Tulsa Developer Paul Coury has opened his second refurbished, boutique hotel, this one in Oklahoma City.
The Colcord Building, now named the Colcord Hotel, was built in 1910 by Charles Francis Colcord, and at 12 stories, was the first skyscraper in Oklahoma City. The building was designed by architect William A. Wells and was the first steel reinforced building in the city.
The 108-room hotel will open Thursday.
The hotel’s restaurant, Soleil will offer French fare. The owners of the restaurant, Michel and Alain Buthion, will also manage the XO Lounge in the hotel.
The Colcord has served as office and commercial space in Oklahoma City for over 90 years. The landmark was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
