Drillers Moving Home Plate Monday

The Tulsa Drillers are moving home plate from Drillers Stadium to their new home at Oneok Field during a 1 p.m. ceremony on Monday.
Home plate will be transported from Drillers Stadium via helicopter to Oneok Field.
Beginning at 1 p.m. home plate will be removed from Drillers Stadium. The participants and the plate will take a 25-minute trip to Oneok Field, 201 N. Elgin Ave.
At 1:45 p.m. home plate will be installed.
Participants digging up home plate and loading onto helicopter will include Mayor Kathy Taylor, Tulsa Drillers President Chuck Lamson, Tulsa Drillers Head Groundskeeper Gary Shepherd, Manhattan Construction Co. Project Executive Bob Jack, Chairman of the Tulsa Stadium Trust Stan Lybarger and Oneok CEO John Gibson.
