Flintco Built Casino Celebrates Grand Opening

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation has opened the Firelake Grand Casino in Shawnee.
The casino’s 125,000 SF of gaming space includes 1,800 of Vegas-style gaming machines, table games including blackjack, poker, Texas hold ‘em, craps, and roulette. The facility houses an event center for concerts, sporting events, entertainers and casino contests and upscale and casual dining options.
The casino was designed by Yates-Silverman Inc., a Las Vegas-based design firm.
The opening of the casino completes the first of three phases of the FireLake Enterprises project. Phase 2 is already underway and will include the construction of the FireLake Grand Casino Hotel, which is slated to be seven stories tall with 30 suites on each level. Phase 3 will be the creation of the 100,000 SF FireLake Grand Coliseum venue that will replace the existing event center, which will be converted into a retail-shopping outlet.
The casino, hotel and coliseum will employ 2,000 and is being built by Flintco Inc. of Tulsa, at a cost of $24 million.
