Tulsa-based Flintco Companies Inc. has named C. Darryl Harris, Sr. to the position of area manager of its Arkansas division.
Originally from Biloxi, Miss., Harris joined the company in 1995. A 20-year resident of Arkansas, Harris ran his first job at 19 as he started out as a project engineer.
Prior to being named Arkansas area manager, Harris was serving as construction manager on a $94 million Federal Bureau of Prison project in Pollock, La.
Flintco opened its Springdale office in 1992 to serve existing clients in the Northwest Arkansas market. Since that time, the Springdale office has built more than 1.3 million SF of schools, assisted living facilities, churches, restaurants, parks and government facilities, including postal offices, fire stations and police headquarters.
Projects the Arkansas division has constructed include Springdale’s Walter Turnbow Elementary School, First United Methodist Church, the Osage Terrace/The Gardens at Osage Terrace in Springdale, and the Springdale Aquatic Center. In Fayetteville, Flintco constructed the University of Arkansas Archeological Survey Building and the UA Mullins Library. Also in Arkansas, Flintco constructed the Fort Smith Police Headquarters, the Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, the Sugar Creek Shopping Center in Bella Vista, Rogers High School, and Lowell Elementary School in Lowell.
