Governor Henry Makes Appointments to State Boards, Commissions

Governor Brad Henry today announced the following appointments to a number of state boards and commissions:

Sherri Edwards, Oklahoma City, to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. She replaces herself.

Sheila G. Simpson, Oklahoma City, to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. She replaces herself.

Erica “Janel” Pasley-Richards, Oklahoma City, to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. She replaces herself.

Gail Foresee, Shawnee, to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2007. She replaces Julie Myers, who resigned.

Sarah A. Houk, Broken Arrow, to the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. She replaces herself.

Charles Locust, Stilwell, to the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission for a term expiring Aug. 15, 2007. He replaces Dallas Proctor, who resigned. Senate confirmation required.

Ronnie Kessler, Chickasha, to the Oklahoma Emergency Response Systems Development Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. He replaces himself.

Clarence Fortney, Lawton, to the Oklahoma Emergency Response Systems Development Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. He replaces himself.

Kyle McGraw, Oklahoma City, to the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors for a term expiring July 1, 2008. He replaces Arthur L. Christie, who resigned. Senate confirmation required.

James “Mike” Greene, Idabel, to the Oklahoma Emergency Response Systems Development Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. He replaces himself.

Dr. Gary Johnson, Checotah, to the Veterinary Medical Examiners for a term expiring May 9, 2011. He replaces Brian Renegar, who resigned. Senate confirmation required.

Neil McElderry Jr., Purcell, to the Oklahoma Human Rights Commission for a term expiring July 15, 2009. He replaces Mark Ashton, who resigned. Senate confirmation required.

Mary Ann Karns, Edmond, to the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth for a term expiring June 30, 2008. She replaces John Linehan.

Joyce Martin, Broken Arrow, to the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women for a term expiring June 30, 2011. She replaces Sheila Sheaman, who resigned.

Terrica Grunewald, Weatherford, to the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth for a term expiring June 30, 2007. She replaces Daniel Lawrence Dirk.

Gary Ligon, Ada, to the Oklahoma Emergency Response Systems Development Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. He replaces Robert Andrew Williamson.

Kellie Renee Swim, Tahlequah, to the Oklahoma Emergency Response Systems Development Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2008. She replaces Anthony Lloyd Wittmann.

Floy Smith, Oklahoma City, to the Governor’s Interagency Council on Homelessness to serve at the pleasure of the Governor. She replaces Thomas Larson, who resigned.

Tom Riley, Stillwater, to the Oklahoma Lottery Commission / Board of Trustees for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2012. He replaces himself. Senate confirmation required.

David Hartwell, Bethany, to the Crime Victims Compensation Board for a term expiring Sept. 30, 2008. He replaces Nicholas D. Garrett, who resigned. Senate confirmation required.
