Haskell Bank to Merge With Citizens Security Bank

The First Bank of Haskell will merge with Bixby-based Citizens Security Bank, Jan. 1, Shawn Danielson, president of the Haskell bank, said. The bank will operate under the Citizens Security Bank name.
Both banks are owned by the Mabrey Bancorporation Inc., a family owned bank holding company. Mabrey Bancoporation purchased First Bank of Haskell in 1981.
The decision to make the change follows the retirement of Carl Cash, long-time president of First Bank of Haskell.
“This change is very positive for our customers and area residents,” Danielson said. “Our employees will remain the same as well as the ownership. We will be able to offer a variety of new products as well as a number of convenient locations for customers to do their banking.”
Citizens Security Bank was founded in 1924 and operates nine full-service branch offices and 20 ATM locations throughout northeastern Oklahoma as well as additional free ATM usage at all Oklahoma QuikTrip locations.
