Institute for Information Security Names Executive Director

The University of Tulsa has announced the hiring of an executive director for the Institute for Information Security, or iSec.
David Greer will be responsible for the development, implementation and supervision of iSec’s mission to produce exceptional graduates and technical discoveries in the information security field. He will also serve as the liaison between iSec and industry, government, academic partnerships and alumni.
Prior to returning to Tulsa for his doctorate in computer sciences, Greer spent five years as an information security coordinator developing continuing education and e-learning courses for the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. He is a founding member of the Cyber Security Education Consortium and also built three information assurance and digital forensics mobile laboratories.
Greer serves as an adviser for the continuing education program at TU, the cyber security program at OSU-Okmulgee and is the Director of Education for the Oklahoma chapter of the Information Systems Security Association.
