Bratney Cos. will build a $7 million modular, continuous-flow biodiesel plant.
The Des Moines, Iowa-based company has partnered with Tulsa company Orbitek Inc. The system allows biodiesel producers to use the least expensive feedstock available to produce ASTM compliant fuel.
The plant is expected to be operating by April.
Orbitek’s three-phase biodiesel processing technology gives producers the flexibility to locate near feedstock supply on a compact footprint. Base production capacity for the facilities is 4 million gallons per year and can be scaled up with minimal downtime using Orbitek’s modular process equipment.
