Jenks Native USA Olympic Softball Physician

We hear Jenks native Kevin W. Hargrove was named the USA Olympic Softball Women’s National Team Physician for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Hargrove has been serving the team during its preparations for the Olympics.
The USA Softball Women’s National Team begins Olympic competition on Aug. 12, but has been playing exhibitions against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Depaul and Virginia Tech at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium as part of its “Bound 4 Beijing” Exhibition Tour earlier this month.
Hargrove, who lives and works in Oklahoma City, was named to the post after serving as team doctor during the 2007 Pan American games in Rio de Janeiro. He has served in various voluntary positions for United States Olympic Committee and USA Softball since 2004.
Hargrove will donate a month of his time over the summer to serve the Olympic team, helping to ensure that each athlete has the best care and competes at her highest level. While in Beijing, when the USA Women’s Softball is not practicing or playing, Hargrove will serve as a general physician for all USA athletes in need of medical attention.
