The John Zink Company has acquired the privately-held, Woodland, Calif.-based Coen Company, Inc., a company that specializes in the design, manufacture, servicing, and maintenance of burner equipment and combustion systems.
Coen will operate as a subsidiary of the John Zink Company.
Financial details of the transaction were not announced.
John Zink Company employs more than 700 people at its Tulsa facility, as well as an additional 400 at other global sites.
The acquisition includes all stock of the current ownership. Coen has about 270 employees in North America. Coen, based in Woodland, Calif., has an engineering and sales office in Foster City, Calif. It operates manufacturing sites in Quebec and near Mexico City. The deal also includes Coen’s interest in two joint ventures: DeJong-Coen in The Netherlands and Coen-Bharat in India.
