Manufacturing has rebounded for the month of February in the Tenth District, a region that includes Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, northern New Mexico, and western Missouri.
The majority of the growth was seen in hiring and capital spending, according to statistics recently released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
Production grew at most factories and was most evident among producers of machinery and high-tech equipment.
The overall production index increased from 19 to 31, and the future production index remained steady after a slight decrease last month.
The report also saw the raw materials index increase to a six month high, while the finished goods index remained unchanged for the month.
