LEED Gold Certified Home Opening

Tour the first LEED Gold Certified Single Family home in the Tulsa area.
As first reported in the Tulsa Business Journal in May, the four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 3,381 SF Southern Living Dream Home is for sale for $649,000.
It was built by LandMark Resources, a Southern Living Custom Builder Program member.
At 1536 E. 35th Place, 2? blocks east of Peoria on 35th Place, the home will be open for tours September 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th from 1PM – 6PM. Cost is $5 per person at the door. Tour this home and learn how green building can contribute to a greener Tulsa! Proceeds from the tour will benefit the non-profit organization Sustainable Tulsa.

With lower energy and water bills, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and fewer problems with mold, mildew and other indoor toxins, LEED homes are safer, healthier, more comfortable and more durable. With a projected energy cost savings of approximately 60%, this LEED Gold Certified home will be ENERGY STAR? Qualified and include the following: Geothermal Heating & Cooling System; BaysealTM Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation System; Rainwater Harvesting System; Indoor Air Quality Features; Recycled and Reused Building Materials; and ENERGY STAR Rated Appliances, Windows, Lighting and Plumbing Fixtures.

Sustainable Tulsa encourages regional efforts to expand the market for sustainable development, to increase green building awareness, and to improve local availability of green building materials through support of private green development efforts, the Green Building Strategy Team, the Green Building Resource Library, and the Greening the (918) Series. Sustainable Tulsa’s mission is to promote responsible economic growth, environmental stewardship and quality of life for all.
