LaBarge, Inc. has been awarded a $1.6 million contract from Lockheed Martin’s Radar Systems line of business to provide circuit card assemblies for the company’s new TPS-79 Multi-Mission Surveillance Radar system.
The TPS-79 MMSR system is a mobile, medium-range, air surveillance radar that can provide critical surface and low-altitude air coverage for military air defense, air traffic control or coastal surveillance missions. Its performance, high availability and survivability make it ideal for short- to mid-range airspace surveillance. The highly mobile radar can easily be transported by truck, air, rail or sea and can be deployed in less than 60 minutes.
Production on the circuit card assemblies is expected to take place at LaBarge’s Tulsa facility in the second half of this year.
