M&A Conference Attracts One and All

A conference on mergers and acquisition held in Tulsa apparently attracted the attention of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Defense as participants.
The 175 attendees who attended the conference, “Keys to Successful Acquisitions for Corporate Growth,” held March 28 at the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place, 6110 S. Yale Ave. exceeded the expectations of promoters.
“We had an overwhelming response from the business community,” said Rob Firestone, co-owner of Tulsa M&A intermediary firm Bluestem Resources Affiliated Group, LLC, 2642 E. 21st St., Ste. 285. “It was substantially greater than what was expected.”
Firestone and partner John C. Johnson presented the conference.
Industries represented included aerospace, business services, technology and manufacturers of various products lines. Also representatives from products and services for Homeland Security and the Department of Defense and several healthcare related companies and distributors of consumer goods attended.
Attendees came from 12 states.
“We were very honored by the support of our sponsors and for helping us make this a success,” Firestone said. “Obviously this information was very much in demand by the business community.”
Sponsors were SpiritBank; Eide Bailly LLP; The University of Tulsa Center for Executive & Professional Development; Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce; Oklahoma State Chamber; Tulsa Business Journal; Key Principal Partners; Evolve Capital; Pennington Allen Capital Partners; Greenfield Commercial Credit; Svoboda, Collins LLC and Trinity Hunt Partners.
The one-day educational conference was brought to Tulsa by The M&A Source.
