Micco Aircraft Relocates to Green Country

Micco Aircraft Co. has relocated from Fort Pierce, Fla. to Frank Phillips Field in Bartlesville. Micco specializes in the production of the SP26, a two-seat, cross-country airplane. The company currently employs four and plans to expand to 60 employees within a year.
The city of Bartlesville is providing Micco with six months of rent-free hangars at Phillips Field as part of a relocation incentive package. James Billie, former chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is CEO of Micco. The company plans to be in production by April 2007. In addition to the manufacture of planes, Micco will offer a service center and Federal Aviation Administration repair station at the site.
