Midcontinent Express Gets FERC Thumbs-Up

Shale producers in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas will gain greater access to southern and eastern markets following the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s move to issue a certificate approving the construction of the proposed 500-mile Midcontinent Express Pipeline.
The pipeline will extend from the southeast corner of Oklahoma, across northeast Texas, northern Louisiana, central Mississippi and into Alabama. MEP will parallel existing pipeline or electric transmission right-of-ways where possible to minimize impact to the environment, communities and landowners.
It is a joint venture with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners and Energy Transer Partners.
