Morton Center Hosts Grand Opening

Morton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc., the state’s largest federally qualified health center, is scheduled to host a series of activities and events from Oct. 12-20, 2006, to commemorate the opening of its new facility. As a part of Vision 2025, Morton built a new 60,000 SF facility, 1334 North Lansing Avenue, on five acres in the Lansing Business Park.
The new Morton Center has expanded its service delivery by including urgent care, optometry, podiatry, digital radiology imaging, a training and conference center, and increased patient and health career education for the community. Morton will provide expanded dental services and will have two new transportation vehicles that are handicapped-equipped. The $14 million new building will host the new services in an space designed for ease of use.
Morton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is the largest community health center in Oklahoma and the only federally funded community health center in Tulsa and northeastern Oklahoma. Since 1983, Morton has been providing medical, dental, lab and x-ray, and pharmaceutical services. Its history dates back to 1921 as Willows Hospital.
The main office of Morton is located at 1334 North Lansing Avenue, with additional satellite offices at the East Tulsa Family Health Center, 11520 E. 21st St., MidTown Family Health Center, 102 N. Denver Ave., and at the Nowata Family Health Center, 317 E. Delaware.
Morton will host several grand opening events, each open free to the public unless otherwise noted:
Thurs., Oct. 12 at 6p.m.
