“This is an exciting opportunity to hear from someone with experience in the dynamic business of professional sports,” said Jim Arens, Friends of Finance president. “Business leaders in the Tulsa area will be interested to hear the challenges and rewards associated with landing the NBA franchise in Oklahoma City.”
Bennett is Chairman of the Professional Basketball Club, L.L.C., which owns the Oklahoma City Thunder professional basketball team. Previously, Bennett was one of the principal owners of the San Antonio Spurs, where his duties included representing the team on the NBA Board of Governors.
