Neal Succeeds Callahan at TTC

A former administrator for Broken Arrow Public Schools has been named superintendent of Tulsa Technology Center.
Kara Gae Neal received board approval Monday night to succeed Gene Callahan who is retiring July 1. Her salary was set at $150,000 a year.
Neal is a veteran educator who previously served as superintendent of Metro Tech Vocational-Technical Centers in Oklahoma City and as Tulsa County superintendent. Also on her resume is service as superintendent of Glenpool Public Schools and principal and assistant principal in Broken Arrow.
Neal will be paid $200 per day to work with Callahan and learn about the district before taking over full-time.
