News on 6 Awarded “Best in Show” for Oklahoma TV Station

KOTV, The News on 6 was awarded, Best in Show Wednesday by the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters for their 2007 Outstanding Achievement Awards.

In the television division, KOTV was awarded the highest awards for best Evening Newscast, The News on 6 at 6; Morning News Program Six in the Morning; Investigative Reporting: “Online Puppy Investigation”; General News: “Jim Giles OU Classroom”; Feature Series “Major League Dreams”; Photography Feature “Major League Dreams”; Weather Image Promotion “Storm After Storm”; Sports Image Promotion “John Holcomb: PGA Image”; and Special Programming Sports “6 Major Moments at Southern Hills.”

The Awards will be presented at the annual OAB Awards Banquet on Friday, March 28 in Oklahoma City.

Griffin Communications LLC is Oklahoma owned and operated by David and Kirsten Griffin of Oklahoma Cityand John Griffin of Muskogee. Combined, the company’s media companies cover more than 90 percent ofOklahoma households.
