OHS Ready to Open

Parking lots around the Owasso High School, including those south of the new entrance and on the southwest corner of 129th East Avenue and 86th Street, will be open at the beginning of school Aug. 13, according to school officials, but students and staff will be required to enter facility through the old entrance on the west side of the building.
Danny Henrie, operations director, said the construction projects, which included the construction of two parking lots, 14 classrooms, two tennis courts, an addition to the counseling office, renovations to the school’s fine arts department and library and a new band practice facility is 72 percent complete. The project also includes a new HVAC system for the school.
The parking additions, which will add more than 600 spaces, are about 50 percent complete and will bring the total number of spaces to 1,500.
