ORU Nursing School Receives Grants

Oral Roberts University’s Anna Vaughn School of Nursing receives $1.1 million grant to reach under-served areas.

Health Resources and Services Administration granted the workforce diversity grant, fully funded at more than $1.1 million over three years, to help the school recruit minority and disadvantaged students who will work in these rural areas after graduation.

The grant will be distributed as eight $5,000 scholarships and 20 stipends of $300 per month, up to $3,000. Funds will also be used to provide social support for students, including sponsoring a time for families to visit campus each semester.
