OSU Alumni Association Honors Kyle

The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association names David Kyle one of the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients.
Kyle spent his career working for Oklahoma Natural Gas and its parent company, ONEOK, where he ultimately served as chairman, president and CEO from 2000-2008.
Kyle, along with five other recipients, will be recognized at a public reception Sept. 12 in Southwestern Legacy Hall of the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater and later in the day during halftime of the OSU football game against Houston.
The award is presented to alumni for professional achievement and community service.
Kyle graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in 1974. He received his MBA from the University of Tulsa in 1987 and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School advanced management program.
Kyle is a director of the Oklahoma Heritage Association and serves as trustee of the University of Tulsa and Philbrook Museum of Art. He is a member of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, and Leadership Oklahoma Class II.
Kyle was inducted into the 80th class of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Tulsa Historical Society’s Hall of Fame in 2006. In 2004, he was inducted into the OSU College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Hall of Fame and in 2003, was named an Outstanding Business Alumnus by the University of Tulsa.
He served on the OSU Foundation Board of Governors and Board of Trustees and was a member of the search committee for the 17th president for OSU. He is a life member of the OSU Alumni Association.
