Oklahoma Equity Fund Reaches $25 Million Goal

Midwest Housing Equity Group, a is a non-profit corporation that raises capital to invest in affordable housing throughout the states of Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma and Kansas, has reached its goal of $25 million in equity to fund affordable housing in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Equity Fund is primarily a tax credit syndicator, but also provides technical assistance to non-profit and smaller for-profit development organizations. OEF syndicates and assists in all types and sizes of affordable housing properties with emphasis on inner city family housing, rural, difficult to develop areas and service intensive properties such as rent-to-own, transitional housing and elderly. OEF sponsors, every twelve to eighteen months, an investment fund to invest or syndicate tax credit developments throughout Oklahoma. The investment funds seek corporate investors that will traditionally be Oklahoma based companies.
