Tulsa’s Oktoberfest is accepting applications for an artist to help commemorate their 29th year of festival fun with a commemorative poster.
Artists of all ages and mediums are encouraged to submit their work to become the 2007 poster artist. The artist selected will receive a small donation, be featured in press releases and at the unveiling of the poster, and will receive printed copies of artwork. The poster artwork is used throughout the festival on attire, beverage pitchers, and in most advertising for the festival.
If an artist chooses to be considered, he/she will need to submit a bio, samples of their artwork style and a description of the selected medium for review by the Oktoberfest executive committee at a meeting on Feb. 12, 2007. All materials need to be available for review at that meeting and must be received at the Oktoberfest office by 5 p.m. on the day of the meeting. A prospective poster artist may choose to do a quick sketch or rendition of an idea, but this is not required. Mailing address is: P.O. Box 4362, Tulsa, OK 74159.
Further information and samples of previous years’ poster can be obtained by contacting the Oktoberfest, Inc. offices at firstname.lastname@example.org, (918) 744-9700 or by visiting the official Oktoberfest, Inc. web site at www.tulsaoktoberfest.org.
The deadline for applications is Monday, February 12, 2007.
