Oral Roberts University Appoints Dean of Business

Dr. Steve Greene has been appointed dean of the Oral Roberts University School of Business. Greene retired in January as chief operating officer for the Tulsa-based franchise Camille’s Restaurants. He begins his new role at ORU July 6.
Greene has a doctorate in business administration from Memphis State University. He received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University. Greene also has experience in education as he has served as an associate professor at several universities and has been an adjunct business instructor for ORU since 2007. Greene has worked in business consulting for most of his career. He is also currently the senior pastor of Bixby Community Church.
Dr. Marshal Wright has been serving as interim dean of the school since July 2007. He will continue in his role of chairman of the graduate business program.
Oseco Promotes Smith to VP Finance
Broken Arrow-based rupture detection equipment manufacturer Oseco has promoted Jay Smith to vice president of finance.
Smith will be responsible for strategic planning, leading financial and accounting activities and managing the company’s information technology personnel. Smith joined Oseco in 2007 as controller. Before his position with Oseco, Smith was the engineering supervisor and later the global controller of exhaust emission systems for Tulsa-based Delphi, a worldwide supplier of mobile electronics and transportation systems.
He holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in management science from the University of Oklahoma. Smith also has a Master of Science in accounting from Northeastern State University, a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and is working toward completing his CPA certification.
Schnake Turnbo Frank Names Senior VP
Schnake Turnbo Frank | PR has named Fran Evans as senior vice president of its Tulsa office.
She will be responsible for the management of the account service staff in the Tulsa office. She will also provide public relations counsel to clients and is responsible for business development and community involvement in the Tulsa market.
Prior to joining STF | PR, Evans held several positions at the Williams Cos., Inc. Most recently, she served as director of corporate marketing, where she was responsible for revenue generation, marketing, advertising, branding, media relations, on-site operations and recruiting and managing of volunteers for corporate and sports sponsorships relating to the PGA, LPGA and other Williams-sponsored events.
She has been involved in many community organizations, including the Scott Carter Foundation, OSU Women In Philanthropy, the Alzheimer’s Association of Oklahoma and the Tulsa Sports Commission advisory board.
Evans attended Oklahoma State University and received a bachelor’s degree in human environmental science, as well as an associate’s in graphic design.
Tulsa Development Authority Names Executive Director
The Tulsa Development Authority has selected O.C. Walker II as its executive director.
Walker is a graduate of Langston University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He also attended the University of Oklahoma, where he earned his master’s degree in architectural/urban design.
His experience includes 10 years as a city planner; eight years for the City of Tulsa and the past two years for the City of Broken Arrow. His experience has focused on city planning, neighborhood development and community relations.
FHSU Alumni Association Names Tulsan to Board
Molly Aspan, an attorney for Hall Estill in Tulsa, was among new members named to Fort Hays State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Aspan earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from FHSU in 2000.
