The Osage Nation has purchased the Tulsa AirPark for $4.9 million in a move that seems to be gearing up for the expansion of its gaming enterprise.
“We are investing in strengthening the foundation of our highest-earning industry,” said Principal Chief Jim Gray.
The roughly 100-acre plot sits adjacent to Osage Million Dollar Elm casino, located at 951 W. 36th St. North, and includes a group of runways, hangars and approximately 85,000 SF of office and classroom space formerly used by Tulsa Technology Center.
Immediate plans are to move some Osage Nation employees into one of the buildings adjacent to the casino.
The land was purchased from Tulsa attorney and entrepreneur Gentner Drummond.
