PLANiTULSA Workshops Focus on Neighborhoods

Following two citywide workshops, PLANiTULSA organizers will host seven small area workshops starting Dec. 9.
The smaller workshops will focus on neighborhoods, allowing participants to make detailed recommendations for desired land use, transportation, urban design, and development opportunities. All Tulsans are encouraged to attend.
North Tulsa and East Tulsa will host the first two small area workshops on Dec. 9 at Booker T. Washington and East Central High School, respectively, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Participants may register online at http://www.planitulsa.com/events-workshops.
The five remaining workshops will take place in January and February. Dates and locations have not been determined.
The City of Tulsa is working with Fregonese Associates, a nationally recognized firm, on planning issues. Staff from Fregonese Associates will preside over the workshops, with assistance from local volunteer facilitators. Participants will work together in small groups to build maps outlining future development strategies for each area, including locations for homes, jobs, transit and open spaces.
