Parkside Hospital Expands, to Add 30 Jobs

Parkside Psychiatric Hospital and Clinic has broken ground on its first major expansion in more than two decades.
The $3.7 million project will add 16,500 SF and nearly 30 new jobs. Completion of the four-bed expansion is expected later this year with the new building being finished in late 2007.
Parkside’s Tulsa Center for Adolescent Treatment will grow from 16 to 40 beds with a four-bed expansion of its existing facilities and construction of a new adjoining building that will house an additional 20 beds.
The complete expansion will add 12 sleeping rooms, seven offices, one examination room, one dining room, one nurses’ station, one time-out room, two seclusion rooms, one group therapy room, one day room, one kitchen, one laundry room, a half-court gymnasium, courtyards and common areas.
Tulsa-based firm Wozencraft, Mowery and Associates Architects and Engineers designed the project.
Parkside, 1620 E. 12th St., Tulsa, is a private, non-profit organization that is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
It was founded in 1959 to provide psychiatric services to citizens of Tulsa.
